It Started With Something Simple

Bare Simplicity began long before it had a name. After having our first daughter, my husband and I started looking much more closely at the products we used every day—especially the ones we were putting on our skin. We wanted skincare made with simple, recognizable ingredients that we could genuinely feel good about using in our own home. That search eventually led us to tallow.

What started as something we created for ourselves quickly became something we loved sharing. We began gifting our tallow balms to friends and family, and before long, those same friends were coming back asking for more—and telling their friends about it, too. Somewhere along the way, our personal pursuit of a more natural product began turning into something bigger. That was the beginning of Bare Simplicity.

Our commitment to simple, thoughtful living deepened even further after a health challenge within our own family. It made us more conscious than ever of what we bring into our home and what we put both in and on our bodies. It also reinforced a philosophy that still guides everything we create today: skincare doesn't need to be complicated to be beautiful or effective.
